Week 1 of Training: First Marathon at 40
So far I've survived 4 days of training.
Day 1 I thought I was going to die. I chose a hilly terrain and near death experience. I thought my legs were going to fall off. (LOL they did not)

The sun was shining on day 2 and it was about 15 degrees warmer. Each day my pace has improved with an average of 12:10/mile.
Tomorrow is the big test. I'm meeting a group of friends in the morning to run 3.5 miles.
What I have learned so far is:
I have to be patient.
I CAN push my body to do more than I thought.
Stretching is mandatory.
Post-recovery protein and BCAAs are a must, these are my go to.
Disclaimer: I do not sell these.
